Could it be that 20 years later we are finally getting the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion that we never really deserved?
In a recent sit-down with The Sun, DJ Jazzy Jeff, best known as one-half of DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince along with rapper and actor Will Smith, revealed that the rumored reunion of the 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in which the duo starred has popped up in conversation often.
“There have been talks with people about doing something," he told the British publication. "I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again.
“It’s a blessing to be part of something that people still hold in high regard. You can’t beat that.
It’s hard for people to keep their attention span normally, but to be able to keep it for all these years and transcend generations, put their kids onto it, this is deep.”
The snippet of hope comes only weeks before Jazzy Jeff, born Jeffrey Allen Townes, is set to headline Livewire Festival alongside Will Smith aka the Fresh Prince in a rare show in Blackpool on August 27th.
"People aren’t coming to hear new stuff, they’re coming for stuff they know," henoted of the forthcoming date. "So the nervousness or uneasiness you might have about performing - you’re not performing for people who don’t know who you are. This is a tribute.”
