Jordan Peele's "Get Out" Is 2017's Most Profitable Film

Jordan Peele's "Get Out" continues to impress.

Jordan Peele's horror masterpiece has captivated audiences, landing a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, The Wrap has dropped a new report revealing that Get Out currently stands as 2017's most profitable movie so far. The film brought in $252 million at the box office, landing a 630 percent return on investment.

According to the report, Jordan Peele was given $4.5 million dollars to work on his film, plus an additional $30 million in marketing money. With an overall profit of $217 million dollars, it's clear that Get Out was an achievement in every sense of the word. Congrats, Jordan! 

It's been a solid year for horror fans, with M. Night Shyamalan's Split coming in second place. The multiple-personality based thriller had a budget of $9 million, and ultimately raked in $277 million worldwide. Not bad for Blumhouse Studios, the production company responsible for both films.
