After Tyler, The Creator called out Billboard over a little bit of a suspicious delay, the sales tracking company released the official first week sales of the August-12th dated charts. While both Tyler and Meek Mill experienced some slight boosts from their prior projections, it wasn't enough to snatch the number one spot from the lovely Lana Del Rey. Del Rey's Lust For Life held on with a respectable 107,000 album units sold.
It was damn close for Tyler, who ultimately landed 106,000 album units sold, falling short by a thousand units. Meek Mill rounded out third place with 102,000. Tyler, who had been actively gunning for that number one spot, let out a series of tweets expressing how he felt about the experience. A good sport through and through, Tyler even dropped a shout out to Lana Del Rey, aka Uncle Tony.
