The Notorious B.I.G, without a doubt one of the most legendary rappers ever to hail from New York City, was honored today in a special parks renaming ceremony in Brooklyn.
The ceremony took place at Crispus Attucks Playground in Brooklyn, a place where a young Biggie supposedly laid down his hoops skills. The courts upon which he once played are now known as the Christopher "Biggie" Wallace Courts, with New York City council member Robert Cornegy Jr., as well as Biggie's family, on hand to celebrate the occasion.
With selections from his discography being blasted throughout his old neighborhood, it was definitely a fitting tribute to one of the best emcees ever.
