The tragedy in Orlando has inspired mourning of the lives lost and support for the LGBTQ community from musicians.

Saturday night, an attack on attendees of gay nightclub Pulse Orlando left 50 dead and 53 injured. The world is still in shock over the news, but many have spent their Sunday in collective mourning over the shooting. Many working in music have also shared thoughts about the Orlando tragedy, mostly sending prayers to the city and those who lost loved ones. Solange shared some words in support of the LGBTQ community, writing, "A celebration of pride, identity, love & life, now ends w hate & horrible horrible tragedy. This world man. My heart goes out... Devastating," while Kehlani wrote "imagine going out to get a drink with your friends... Celebrating your sexual freedom.. and losing your life. every bit of violence is shocking and painful for the world... No need to compare instances under this post.. Just pray."

Meanwhile, Vic Mensa asked his followers to take action against Donald Trump, indicating that the presidential candidate's islamophobia and tolerance of the NRA will only continue to fuel the hate in America.
