In the wake of releasing his impressive debut The Autobiography, Vic Mensa has been hitting the press circuit. This morning, the Chi-town rapper stopped by The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, & Angela Yee. In the lengthy conversation, Mensa spoke candidly about the inspiration behind his honest and introspective album. Late in the interview he recounts watching video footage of Philando Castile's death, and speaks on waking up from nightmares, crying hysterically.
He eventually speaks on DJ Akademiks, whom he calls a "parasite" to the culture, dishes on his relationship with Jay-Z, and more. Watch the whole video below, and check out The Autobiography if you haven't already.
