New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. recently told Uninterrupted that he doesn't just want to be the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, but the highest-paid, period.
"It's like the elephant in the room, and you don't want to talk about it," Beckham says in the UNINTERRUPTED video. "I believe that I will be hopefully not just the highest-paid receiver in the league but the highest-paid, period."
Beckham, who signed an endorsement deal with Nike this offseason, is set to make $1.8 million this upcoming season, the fourth year under his rookie contract. In the fifth year of his deal, Odell stands to make significantly more, at $8.459 million, but still a far cry from the top paid wide receivers, let alone the $24+ million per year that some QBs are seeing.
The highest paid wide receivers this season will be the Cowboys' Dez Bryant and Steelers' Antonio Brown, who are both due to make $17 million, and even they won't crack the top-20 highest paid players in the league, according to EPSN.
