The Cashman Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was a complete madhouse last night as swarms of basketball fans, including some NBA stars, came out to watch the showdown between LaVar and LaMelo Ball's Big Baller Brand vs Zion Williamson's SC Supreme.
The atmosphere at the Adidas Uprising Summer Championships game was described by Kansas Jayhawks coach, Bill Self, as being "unreal."
Per ESPN,
"Unreal. Never seen anything like it," Kansas coach Bill Self, who was on hand for the game, told ESPN.
"It reminds me a little bit of LeBron games," Gonzaga coach Mark Few told ESPN.
Among the NBA stars in attendance were Damian Lillard, Andrew Wiggins, Eric Gordon, Thon Maker, Jamal Murray and, of course, LaMelo's older brother Lonzo. In total, Adidas reportedly estimates that between 3,000-4,000 people were at the game, with an additional 1,500 waiting outside.
In fact, the gym was so overcrowded and the scene was so chaotic that LeBron James was told not to come inside the building.
As for the actual game, Zion's SC Supreme defeated LaMelo's Big Ballers by the final of 104-92. Both players filled the stat sheets, as Zion went for 31 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while LaMelo recorded 36 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
According to Rivals.com, Zion Williamson ranks #2 in the class of 2018, and LaMelo, who has already committed to UCLA, #18 in the class of 2019.
