When Kyrie Irving had his discussion with Cavs management a few weeks ago, he reportedly named four teams that he'd most want to be traded to: the Heat, Knicks, Timberwolves and Spurs.
Stephen A. Smith, who has had much to say about the Kyrie vs. LeBron beef, recently told ESPN's Mike & Mike that the Minnesota Timberwolves are Kyrie's preferred destination.
Per the Star Tribune,
"But Smith went a step further, reporting that those are indeed the four teams Irving would prefer to play for and adding, “and Minnesota is his No. 1 preference.”"
Additionally, on ESPN's NBA Lockdown podcast, Dave McMenamin mentions that Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns have been trying to recruit Kyrie and pushing Wolves management to make a deal for him.
Obviously, any trade proposal the Wolves make for Kyrie would likely center around Andrew Wiggins, who the Cavs drafted #1 overall in 2014 but then traded to Minnesota in a deal for Kevin Love.
