John Mayer will be releasing a limited edition Nike Air Max 90 this week, although the kicks aren't exactly an official Nike collaboration.
In an interview with GQ Style, Mayer explained that he simply created the kicks through Nike's customization site, NikeiD, and then bought every single pair that Nike would sell him.
"I’m just waiting for it to get discontinued on their site. And I’m gonna offer it as my own shoe through my Shopify page. [laughs] Just for fun!" he told GQ Style.
And that's what he did.
According to his instagram account, the limited edition "Spirit Level" Air Max 90 iD, which is built a mixture of grey, black and white accompanied by a vibrant, neon yellow Air unit, will be available this Saturday, July 29th.
