Thousands of people are trying to get R. Kelly dropped by his label.
According to XXL, a petition has been circulating online as a movement to get Kelly's deal with Sony nixed. In fact, it should soon reach its goal of 17,000 signatures.
The petition's description opens with the following: "R&B singer R. Kelly has preyed on teenage girls for the past 25 years. It's time our society stops his cycle of abuse. Join us in telling Sony to #DropRKelly for habitually preying on teenage girls for the past 25 years." There has been no official word from Sony or any of Kelly's record label reps that his deal is in trouble or that anyone is thinking of dropping him as of this writing.
Kelly continues to battle allegations that he's running an abusive "sex cult," although more than one woman has since come out denying these claims.
