The New York Knicks reportedly put a pause on all Carmelo Anthony trade discussions after hiring Scott Perry as the new GM, but that hasn't changed the fact that Melo still wants to be dealt to Houston.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Carmelo has informed the Knicks that he's not interested in being reincorporated into the roster even though Phil Jackson is no longer running the show.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski,
“Carmelo Anthony has made it clear to [the Knicks], I want to go to Houston, I am not interested in talking to you about being reincorporated back into this New York roster.”
The Knicks are of course hoping they can still drive up the asking price for Melo, despite the fact that his relationship with the organization has gone to shit in recent months.
