Before Michael Jordan was a 6x NBA champion, he had reached a metaphorical wall which he could not breakthrough in 1989.
“The physicality of the game was changing,” said Michael Jordan. “The league was allowing defenders to be a lot more physical with the ball handler and I knew that I had to find a way to get stronger and be able to deal with the beating.”
In order for MJ to become the GOAT, he set up pre-practice and one-on-one workouts with his trainer, and focused on strength training and weights. Motivated by his commitment, his teammates joined in the extracurricular sessions, which often started as early as 7am. Jordan would famously arrive to the gym, with a wry smile and cup of coffee in hand. Aptly the gathering soon became known as the “Breakfast Club. ”
The Jordan Breakfast Club, named for MJ’s notorious early morning workout sessions, is an elevated training collection and interactive training regimen curated by brand athletes and Master Trainer, Alex Molden.
Athletes everywhere can now commit to the program at Jordan.com/training and start receiving digital workouts featuring Jordan Brand athletes including Dez Bryant, Erik Kynard, and Jalen Ramsey, beginning on September 6th.
Additionally, Jordan Brand has rolled out a collection of Chicago Bulls inspired trainers, which you can check out in the gallery above.
