Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen"-related legal troubles look like they're over.
According to XXL, the emcee has settled the lawsuit concerning that hit song that was filed against him in the fall of 2016. Supposedly, the court received documents indicating that those who were representing Fetty and Lazar Lakic, the singer who sued him, have settled that dispute privately. Their confidential agreement indicates that the case will close in 30 days once all " agreed upon obligations" are fulfilled.
Initially, Lakic sued Fetty Wap and producer Tony Fadd after the pair allegedly used an instrumental of his as a sample on "Trap Queen". Fetty's lawyer claimed that the rapper had purchased the instrumental and used the material in an upstanding way, but clearly there was enough gray area to warrant legal action.
There is no official word on how much Fetty's settlement came out to. His upcoming album, King Zoo, is out later this year.
