Fans of the upcoming "Black Panther" film adaptation of the comic book got a nice preview of the cast and their characters.
Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o, the three major stars of the film, cover the newest edition of Entertainment Weekly magazine. Inside are some exclusive pictures and a report from the set of the film, which is set to be released in February of 2018.
The pictures take a look at the set of Wakanda, a fictional African nation where Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa presides over a futuristic society. It's a big first for Marvel, making the renowned black comic-book superhero the star of his own film. According to the comic book lore, T’Challa’s homeland contains a plentiful supply of Vibranium, the material that comprises Captain America’s shield. This has allowed the Wakanda society to be technologically more advanced than the rest of the Western world.
