SZA has no patience for silly qualms.

Kendrick Lamar and SZA have something in common: they both delivered excellent albums this year, with Damn. and CTRL respectively. And when someone's on top, it's only natural that the masses will begin to throw stones. That's exactly what happened when Kendrick dropped "Humble," and a few choice lyrics drew the ire of several internet folk:

"I’m so fucking sick and tired of the Photoshop
Show me something natural like afro on Richard Pryor
Show me something natural like ass with some stretch marks
Still will take you down right on your mama’s couch in Polo socks.”

While many praised Kendrick's progressive stance against the mainstream perception of commercial beauty standards, some were quick to label the lyrics as misogynistic. Well, if you fall into the latter camp, it would appear that labelmate SZA has some choice words for you. In an interview with Glamour, the TDE songstress came to Kendrick's defense:

"How is that misogyny if he’s supporting positive body image? I think that’s so weird, and it’s reaching. If you want to support women, you should support all shapes of women. There are more women who are body shamed and who are--I mean, I used to be 200 pounds, and I have stretch marks all over my body. I find more comfort and solace with Kendrick reinforcing that I'm beautiful. I don’t really feel anything misogynistic from that."

So there you have it. Eloquent, talented, and loyal. Go stream CTRL, ya bish.
