On the day of his 48th birthday, why not take a minute to bump one of your favorite RZA joints? The man basically invented a style of production, blending gritty, ominous minimalism with legendary vocal samples from kung-fu flicks. His work on Wu-Tang Clan's Enter The 36 Chambers is a lo-fi, cinematic masterpiece, and one of the many factors skyrocketing the project into classic status. And that's only the tip of the blade.
Bobby Digital's devout respect for martial arts have led to multiple forays into the film industry. Some of his notable accomplishments include scoring Kill Bill for the homie Quentin Tarantino, writing and directing The Man With The Iron Fist, and most recently helming an episode of Marvel's Iron Fist series. Suffice it to say, the RZA's a man of many talents, and we're grateful for his contributions to the game. Once again, happy birthday Bobby.
"Yo, you may catch me in a pair of Polo Skipperys, matching cap
Razor blades in my gums (BOBBY!)
You may catch me in yellow Havana Joe's goose jumper
And my phaser off stun (BOBBY!)
Y'all might just catch me in the park playin' chess, studyin' math
Signin 7 and a sun (BOBBY!)
But you won't catch me without the ratchet, in the joint
Smoked out, dead broke or off point (BOBBY!)"
