In 1986 Spike Lee burst onto the scene with his directorial debut She’s Gotta Have It. Now, thirty-one years later Lee will be airing the film as a ten-part series to air on Netflix Thursday, November 23.
Netflix has released a teaser for the series highlighting the characters Nola Darling, Jamie Overstreet, Greer Childs and of course Mars Blackmon.
This will mark Spike’s first foray into a television type platform, after a career filled with producing and directing films and documentaries spanning a career of 30 pus years. It will be interesting to see how Lee approaches a mini-series.
