Lil Kim is now reportedly a person of interest in an investigation being conducted by LAPD regarding an armed robbery of a home she was renting in LA for a BET Experience weekend party.
According to the police report, Kim is under investigation because of a dispute that broke out between her and the property manager of the home.
TMZ reports that when the veteran femcee went to check out the house ahead of time before the party, she wasn’t satisfied with the home and requested that her deposit be returned, however was refused by the renter. Ultimately, an argument ensued that resulted in the cops being called.
Early Sunday morning, however, a group of armed robbers in ski masks pulled up to the home, taking off with Lil Kim’s rental deposit check and an additional sum of money that adds up to about $20,000.
In addition to the money, the victim’s tires were slashed and a hubcap was stolen.
Lil Kim is currently scheduled to perform at Sunday night’s BET Awards in a tribute to the late rapper Prodigy. No word yet on whether the investigation will impede on these plans.
