One of Stephen A. Smith's favorite things to do on ESPN's First Take is rant about the New York Knicks, specifically their President of Basketball Operations, Phil Jackson.
And after yesterday's rumors about a Kristaps Porzingis trade, and the team selecting 18-year old French point guard Frank Ntilikina with the 8th overall pick in the NBA Draft, Stephen A. had plenty to rant and rave about this morning.
While Stephen A made it clear that he's not knocking Ntilikina's skills, he was clearly very unhappy with Phil Jackson drafting another player who will take years to develop, especially when explosive guards like Dennis Smith Jr. and Malik Monk were still on the board.
Of course, he also had a meltdown when Phil drafted Kristaps Porzingis.
Smith's co-host Max Kellerman echoed those statements, saying the Knicks failed to draft a guy with upside and instead settled for a safe player simply because he fits into their triangle offense.
Check out their reactions on First Take below.
