Tonight is the night. The 2017 NBA Draft is taking place right now in NYC at the Barclay’s Center, where the top collegiate basketball players fulfill their childhood dreams to play in the NBA.
With the Philadelphia 76ers kicking things off with #1 pick, they took guard Markelle Fultz from Washington with no surprise, meanwhile the Lakers followed up with the #2 pick and took Lonzo Ball out of UCLA as expected. Duke forward Jayson Tatum went #3 by the Celtics, and the Suns took Josh Jackson out of Kansas at #4.
In addition to the picks, there’s already been some trades being made as well. The Chicago Bulls have traded All-Star forward Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Lavigne, Dunn & the 7th pick in this year’s draft, which was Arizona forward Lauri Markkanen.
Check out the results (below) and we’ll continue to update the picks as the roll in. What's been the biggest surprise so far?
