According to Stereogum, the streaming service is facing backlash for using Justin Bieber in a recent online ad and calling him a "Latin King" in the process. The promotional item refers to his feature on the smash hit single "Despacito," which also boasts the talents of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, who are both from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Nice work picking the one guy on the song who didn't have Latin heritage Spotify.
The company is getting dragged on Twitter as well, with social media users calling out their disrespectful actions.
