Details of the settlement have not been disclosed.

The lawsuit surrounding the tragic death of Ferguson, MO teen Michael Brown has been settled.

According to NBC News, court documents reveal that Brown's parents and the city of Ferguson have reached an undisclosed settlement in a wrongful death civil suit. Details of the settlement were not disclosed because of the fact that they "could jeopardize the safety of individuals involved in this matter, whether as witnesses, parties, or investigators."

Michael Brown was fatally shot at the age of 18 by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in August of 2014. Wilson was never indicted by a grand jury and resigned from the police force in November of that year. The shooting sparked nationwide outrage and several protests against the use of excessive force by police against African-American men.

As a result of the settlement, all claims against the city and those named in the suit have been dismissed.
