Landing at the #3 spot in the American box office, behind "Cars 3" and "Wonder Woman," Benny Boom's "All Eyez On Me" biopic exceeded original expectations for its opening week numbers, raking in a stellar $27.1M on its first weekend. Despite a large amount of criticism from fans and critics alike including many notable stars such as 50 Cent, and longtime friend of Tupac, Jada Pinkett-Smith, the movie still did very well.
"All Eyez On Me" has seen very mixed reviews overall, holding a %70 audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and a mere %24 critic score. Many have said the film does not do the rapper's life and work justice while others still think it did a solid job of portraying the man who's shaped such a large part of hip hop.
