The past few weeks has presented much speculation around the secretive movements of Jay Z.
What else is new?
In the midst of his wife Beyonce giving birth, and his monumental induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the mogul has kept us on our toes as anticipation builds for Jay’s forthcoming 4:44 project.
Until recently, there was no confirmation on whether or not that would be another album from the veteran emcee or a short film of some sort.
Now, in addition to TIDAL releasing a 30-second teaser for the project, starring Mahershala Ali that featured the song “Adnis”, Sprint, an owner of 33% of TIDAL, debuted a banner on its site that read “Get exclusive access to JAY-Z’s new album.”
It now simply writes "Get exclusive access to JAY-Z," but screenshots live forever.
Whether intentional or not, the announcement definitely offers up some clarity and much excitement.
4:44 arrives on June 30th.
Until then, catch the album's trailer below.
