Taxstone has plead guilty to federal possession of a gun as a felon, and obtaining an illegal gun outside of state.

The NYC podcast personality was arrested in January of this year in connection to the shooting death of Ronald McPhatter, a bodyguard of Troy Ave. Tax is facing up to 20 years in prison if convicted on all charges, despite not being charged with the murder of McPhatter.

The shooting took place at Irving Plaza in New York right before rapper T.I. took the stage to perform for his show. Troy Ave has been charged with attempted murder in the aftermath of the shooting, and was injured himself that night as well (taking a bullet to the leg.) According to NY Daily News, he claims he wrestled the gun from the attacked and in self-defense fired the shots.
