It looks like Bill Maher has dodged a bullet.
According to TMZ, Bill Maher, host of Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, will not be fired for his "house n*****" comment on last week's show. He made to Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse while they were having a one-on-one discussion during that episode.
Maher did release an apology statement after the fact and supposedly "lost sleep" over the regrettable error.
A factor in the decision is that HBO does not run advertisements, which puts them in the position of not losing any commercial revenue due to the incident. As TMZ put it, few people are likely unsubscribe. Maher's show
