Bryson Tiller finds himself at the top.
According to Billboard, Bryson notches his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart for his second studio release True to Self, which debuted at the top. Released through TrapSoul and RCA Records, Self earned 107,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 1st, with 47,000 coming from traditional album sales.
The new album is already doing better than Tiller’s debut, Trapsoul. The latter set peaked at No. 8 on the chart in January of 2016, and helped Tiller end the year as Billboard’s biggest new artist. In total, Trapsoul earned 1.6 million equivalent album units.
The new chart for June 17th, 2017, with Bryson Tiller at No. 1, will be posted in full to Billboard’s websites on Tuesday, June 6.
