Derek Fisher, former Los Angeles Lakers point guard and head coach of the New York Knicks, was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence, as per TMZ.
The arrest came after Fisher crashed his vehicle on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles following a night out at Catch in West Hollywood. His Cadillac flipped over as he was driving. His passenger was Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan. Neither occupant of the car was seriously hurt.
Fisher was then arrested and jailed after police determined he'd consumed alcohol. According to CHP details, he supposedly collided with the raised concrete curb and guardrail, which flipped his car over once. Fisher and Govan have been a confirmed couple since March.
