Rich Homie Quan, originally thought to have been arrested for weapons possession over the weekend, will instead have to deal with a drug possession charge for weed, as per TMZ.
According to the arrest repor, the Georgia native has been slapped with a felony possession of drugs charge with intent to distribute. Law enforcement has confirmed that the drug in question was weed, although the exact amount he had wasn't made clear. Under state law, the amount in your possession doesn't determine the severity of the charges.
Quan is being held in jail until Friday's bond hearing. The rapper and and a five-person entourage were arrested on Saturday night on suspicion of possession of a stolen gun and drugs. Police reportedly found the weapon, but it's the drug charge that could see RHQ facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
