Athletes and celebrities across the country are using their social media platforms to demand justice and inspire change in our nation, most notably Carmelo Anthony who used Instagram to challenge his fellow athletes to step up and take charge amidst the recent killings of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile and 5 Dallas police officers.
And then there are guys like the Cleveland Browns' running back Isaiah Crowell who simply took to instagram to share a graphic photo of a police officer having his throat slit by a figure dressed in all black.
Crowell captioned the photo, which has since been deleted, "Mood: They give polices all types of weapons and they continuously choose to kill us…#Weak”
Of course, after receiving backlash for the distasteful image, Crowell issued the following apology:
