We're entering a period of time where a lot of TV shows and movies are being remade and revisited for both the big and small screens-- Twin Peaks is picking back up, we've seen X-Files come back, we've heard that there will be a new Friday movie from Ice Cube, and that is barely just scratching the surface.
While some film remakes and follow-ups we can get behind, others seem a bit more questionable. Tyrese starred as Jody in the coming-of-age film Baby Boy in 2001, alongside Taraji P. Henson who played his baby mama Yvette. I won't spoil the film, but it ended pretty conclusively-- it didn't leave very many loose ends to tie up.
Nonetheless, Tyrese has been adamant that there will be a second film, although we haven't received word from the film's director, John Singleton, whom Tyrese has been including in his posts about Baby Boy 2, indicating he's on board with the project, as well as his co-star Taraji P. Henson. We've yet to hear from those two parties, but Tyrese teased the sequel again on Instagram, before quickly deleting the post. Nonetheless it's been saved thanks to the Internet, you can view the post below.
It appears the photo is simply from a Memorial Day BBQ session, we'll keep you posted if word on the film shooting and production arises.
What do you think? Do we need a Baby Boy comeback?
