Talk about disappointing.
According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, a record crowd of 35,000 strong at St. Paul's Soundset music festival weren't able to see one of the day's most anticipated rappers, with Lil Uzi Vert being a last-minute no-show. No reasons have been explicitly stated as to why the young emcee didn't take the stage on Sunday, but he wasn't the only one to cancel. Mac Miller had previously bowed out of performing at Soundset as well, in order to spend some time with his girlfriend Ariana Grande following the Manchester attacks.
Nevertheless, the festival was a resounding success, featuring strong performances from red-hot names like Travis Scott and D.R.A.M, as well as strong showings from genre veterans like Ms. Lauryn Hill and T.I. This year marked the festival's tenth anniversary.
