Kanye West attends the Christian Dior show as part of the Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Fall/Winter 2015/2016 on March 6, 2015 in Paris, France.
Kanye would probably feel right at home among artwork depicting and inspired by himself.

An art exhibit paying tribute to one of the more consistently polarizing figures in pop (and hip hop) music was always inevitable, but we didn’t realize it would come so soon. We probably shouldn’t be surprised that there’s already a Kanye West-themed art exhibit on the way though. Brianni Taylor is curating an exhibit in New York City that will also double as a fundraising event, titled “The Life Of Pablo Art Exhibit.” The name could be catchier.

The exhibit will be interactive, featuring music by DJ Q. Shepard and 15 different artists, whose Instagram handles you can find on the event page. The art and music aims to honor Kanye’s cultural impact, but the Yeezy theme doesn’t stop there. There will be ‘Ye-themed snacks, as well as an open bar and raffle giveaways. The whole thing goes down on May 19 from 7-11pm.

Taylor explained the exhibit through her perspective on Kanye West. “I look at Kanye West as a visionary. I think his music his videos, his style, his vision as a whole is pretty much flawless,” she wrote over email to Complex. “I feel that Kanye is such a great talent, and sometimes people let the things he says via social media or television dilute his real messages … Kanye is very futuristic, way before his time, he sees things before it happens. I don’t see a reason NOT to have an exhibition inspired by his vision, inspired by him.”

Usually art is a way for people to critically asses and engage with something, so this seems more like a shrine. However you want to call it, tickets are only $21.49, so get ‘em here before they’re gone. Proceeds will go to benefit the "The Kids League," a non-profit whose mission is to provide children from low-income households with active learning workshops during out-of-school time that leverages their natural skill sets and fosters overall development through mentorship and peer engagement.
