"We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

Conor McGregor has announced that he signed a "record breaking deal" to fight Floyd Mayweather this week, and now it's up to Floyd to sign his end of the deal to make this much anticipated mega-fight happen.

In a statement released via TheMacLife.com, McGregor said,

“It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management,” McGregor said.

“The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”

Although the McGregor side of the deal is done, UFC President Dana White still isn't guaranteeing that the fight will happen.

Per ESPN

"The McGregor side is done."

"I'm starting to work on the Mayweather side now."

"I'm not saying the fight will happen, but I've got one side done. Now it's time to work on the other. If we can come to a deal with Haymon and Mayweather, the fight's gonna happen."

Shortly after the birth of McGregor's first son, Dana White announced that Conor plans to fight twice this year, including the boxing match against Floyd.

For what it's worth, Floyd has said that as soon as McGregor's camp agreed to a deal the fight would happen. Now the ball is in his court.

"I have a team for [negotiating], but as soon as their side [UFC] communicates with our side, then the fight will happen," Floyd said early Wednesday morning.
