Golden State Warriors forward Zaza Pachulia awkwardly closed out on Kawhi Leonard last night, resulting in the Spurs' All-Star reinjuring his ankle and ultimately preventing the Spurs from stealing Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
Today, Spurs coach Greg Popovich announced that Kawhi will miss Game 2 of the Conference Finals tomorrow night, and he had plenty to say about the play in which Kawhi went down.
While Kawhi told reporters after the game he didn't think Zaza intentionally meant to hurt him, Coach Pop isn't so sure.
ESPN's Michael C. Wright says Popovich called the move a "totally unnatural closeout," and added,
"This is crap."
"Who gives a damn about his intent? Ever heard of manslaughter?"
