Seattle Seahawks running back Eddie Lacy is $55,000 richer today after rolling in to a weigh-in at a cool 253 lbs, which satisfies his under-255 lbs contract incentive.
According to EPSN, Lacy's contract with the Seahawks has seven potential weight bonuses worth a total of $385,000. He will be weighed again on June 1st, and again on August 1st, and he'll need to come in at under 250 lbs on both occasions if he wants to keep cashing those bonus checks.
Furthermore, from September through December Lacy will be weighed once a month and is required to way less than 245 lbs for the incentives to kick in.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is optimistic about Lacy's first season with the team.
