Conor McGregor's longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin recently gave birth to the couple's first child, a baby boy, and now the UFC champ is ready to shift his focus back to fighting.
UFC President Dana White made an appearance on SportsCenter yesterday ahead of UFC 211 and announced that McGregor plans to fight twice this year, despite rumors that his only match would be in the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather.
McGregor isn't shying away from the megafight with Mayweather but it won't be his only bout this year, should it go down at all.
“Conor wants to fight,” White said on ESPN. “Conor wants to fight Floyd, Conor wants to fight twice this year, so we’ll just have to see how this thing plays out.”
“Obviously I was expecting him to fight this Summer,” White said. “That is not the case so we’ll see what happens. I know he recently came out and said he’d like to fight in November. I like Georges St-Pierre, he’s a great guy… we’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”
