Lowry headed to the Western Conference?

Kyle Lowry was sidelined with an ankle injury for the Toronto Raptors' final two games of the postseason, as the Cleveland Cavaliers completed the sweep yesterday afternoon, and that may be the last time you see him on the Raptors' bench.

Less than 24 hours after being eliminated, Lowry has announced that he'll opt out of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent in July, as expected.

Lowry, 31, has spent the last five seasons with the Raptors, making the Eastern Conference All-Star team in the last three years.

However, ESPN's Marc Stein says there is speculation that Lowry could bolt to the Western Conference this Summer.

"Late-season rumbles that Kyle Lowry will give legit thought to a free-agent switch to the West are sure to rise in volume after this series."
