The much anticipated Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor has not yet been confirmed but that hasn't stopped bettors from placing their best at Las Vegas Sportsbooks.

The rumored mega-fight could go down later this year and according to ESPN, Mayweather is now listed at -900, with McGregor +700, a far cry from the original line at the Westgate SuperBook which had Mayweather as a -2,500 favorite, compared to a +1,100 Conor McGregor.

That change in the line indicates that most of the bets that have been placed thus far are in favor of the underdog.

In fact, ESPN reports that 40 of the first 42 bets placed on the fight at the SuperBook were on McGregor, with the largest being a $1,500 wager at +800. Of course, Mayweather backers are just waiting to get a better return on investment before placing their bets.

Jeff Sherman, a SuperBook assistant manager told ESPN via email,

"Most fights that are not official don't garner much handle until officially becoming announced."

"I'm not surprised by the McGregor support, just that it has come without an official fight announcement."

The SuperBook has reportedly taken over $10,000 on the fight, but the book stipulates that the fight must be a boxing match and that it must take place by May 13th of 2018, or all bets will be refunded.
