Last week, boxer Adrien Broner was arrested in Kentucky while driving a white SUV which had several bullet holes in it.
According to TMZ, Broner was driving his white Chevy Suburban when officials noticed a warrant for his arrest stemming from a failure to appear in court for a previous arrest in 2014 for disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication.
Upon taking Broner into custody, officers noticed several bullet holes in the SUV, and that's when Broner claimed he had been shot at by an unknown suspect after leaving a bar in Cincinnati earlier that night.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Broner explained why he thinks his SUV was targeted that night.
"They tried to kill me because they're jealous of my success, man," Broner said in an interview with TMZ Sports. "Every fake killer, or every killer, wants a celebrity on their list. I was once them before. You know, the higher the celebrity you got on your list, you know, that's how people respect you."
"This ain't my first rodeo. I've been on the bull a long time," Broner said of whether he's worried. "I feel like the Dennis Rodman—I've been on the bull a long time, man. I'm all right."
