Former NBA player Daniel "Boobie" Gibson has quietly been working on his music career in his post-NBA life, and he recently told TMZ Sports that he has worked with Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa among others since retiring.
Although Gibson has rapped and released songs in the past, he explained that he's currently writing for other artists because he feels his status as a former NBA player is holding back his solo career.
Gibson spent each of his seven NBA seasons with the Cavaliers but retired after the 2012-13 season at the age of 26 to pursue a rap career.
