Jon "Bones" Jones, currently serving a one-year ban from the UFC due to a failed drug test, is eligible to return to the UFC after the first week in July and Dana White has a bout lined up for him, if he's ready.
White told ESPN.com that he's prepared to finally book the much anticipated rematch between Jones and the current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California on July 29th.
Per ESPN,
“Cormier is available to fight on July 8, but that time-frame doesn’t work for Jon Jones,” White said. “Cormier already told me he’s willing to fight either Jones or (Jimi) Manuwa. If Jon Jones is ready to fight (by UFC 214) on July 29, we’ll see the Jones versus Cormier rematch finally.”
Of course, if Jones is unwilling to accept the rematch at UFC 214, White will give a title shot to Manuwa at UFC 213 in Las Vegas on July 8th.
Jones defeated Cormier at UFC 182 in January of 2015 via unanimous decision, retaining his title and giving Cormier his only loss in the process. They were supposed to headline UFC 200 last Summer but Jones was hit with the one-year suspension for failing a drug test during the build up to the fight.
