Prior to the Cleveland Cavs' playoff opener against the Pacers on Saturday afternoon, JR Smith gave an uplifting update on his baby daughter Dakota, who was born five months premature in January.
For the first time since her unexpected birth, Dakota was finally able to feed through a bottle rather than a feeding tube, and JR shared the heartwarming moment with all of his 2.8 million followers on instagram.
JR captioned the photo of him feeding Dakota, "My boo got her first bottle today! #proudofyoubaby #kotastrong."
This latest positive update comes just a few weeks after Dakota had her breathing tube removes. You can check out here progress at the Smith's website, MyKotaBear.com.
JR and his teammates will be back on the court tonight for Game 2 against Indiana at 7pm EST.
