With an 11 game-winning streak currently intact, the Golden State Warriors are on a role right now, and are still looking like the team to beat out of the Western Conference. But what’s even scarier though is that their injured superstar, Kevin Durant, is on pace to return to the court in a matter of days now too.
On Monday, ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that KD is eyeing his return to the court for this Saturday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena. Having been sidelined since February, Durant was battling a sprained MCL and bruised tibia, but has seen significant progress over the past two weeks.
"Hopefully we can get him in for a couple of regular-season games," Kerr told reporters Sunday while also confirming that Durant will play under a minutes restriction when he comes back. "We'll see how it goes. We'll see what the training staff says. I'm not too worried about incorporating him because he's been with us all season and fit right in from the beginning. So whenever he gets back, we'll plug him back in there and watch his minutes."
