"I have to do a better job of not showing up my teammates."

LeBron James has issued a publicly apology to Tristan Thompson for the heated argument that the two got in during last night's double overtime win over the Pacers.

After the Cavs had taken a four-point lead with 26 seconds left, LeBron began jawing at Thompson for his mistakes while guarding Paul George, who had scored 16 straight for the Pacers, but Thompson wasn't trying to hear any of that criticism.

Both players continued to argue as they went to the bench during a timeout which ultimately resulted in Thompson walking out of the huddle.

Immediately following the win, LeBron told a reporter that he "was a little bit too demonstrative" and that he has to "do a better job of not showing up my teammates."

Per ESPN,

"I have to do a better job of not showing up my teammates out on the floor. I had the right intentions in my mind, but I had the wrong intentions come out of my mouth," James told Fox Sports Ohio after the game (via Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com).

"I take full responsibility for that as the leader of the team. So I got to be a lot better at that and be able to keep that in-house in the locker room and when we're watching film."

"I was a little bit too demonstrative at that point in the game," James said. "He worked hard for our team, he's a big-time player...but the way it came out was—it didn't look good on TV."

Thompson chalked it all up to a miscommunication and said he's just happy his team got the win. Check out the video footage of their heated exchange below.

"We're family. Little miscommunication in the huddle. Move forward. Move forward. We're family. Got each other's back always. Move forward," Thompson said. "Not going to get into (the reasons), just miscommunication, like I said. Move forward. It is what it is. Got the win."
