"I’m going to have to go at my old coach Phil Jackson.”

The 28-47 New York Knicks will miss the playoffs for the fourth straight season and there's plenty of blame to go around but most believe it's time for Phil Jackson to go, including Scottie Pippen.

Pippen, who appeared on ESPN's "The Jump" recently, had this to say about his former coach and the current situation he finds himself in.

“To be honest with you, I’m going to have to go at my old coach Phil Jackson,” Pippen said on ESPN’s “The Jump.” “I think he just hasn’t put the right pieces on the floor. I give a lot of credit to Carmelo who is being very professional in getting through these 82 game seasons. And now he’s being benched to some degree, they’re taking a lot of his minutes away. But this team just hasn’t had it. They haven’t had it since Phil Jackson landed there. There hasn’t been any upside.”

When asked by Rachel Nichols if Jackson "should be out," Pippen quickly replied, "Yes."

As of now, the Knicks are looking at a Top-5 pick in the draft, although the Sixers and Kings are right on their heels in the NBA's tankathon. Limiting Carmelo's minutes in the final seven games to give the Knicks the best chance to finish as poorly as possible might be the team's best strategy in the last four seasons.
