NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin has been accused of sexual assault by a 27-year old Florida woman, who told authorities that she fears Irvin drugged and raped her in a hotel room last week.

According to TMZ Sports,

"The woman says they were in Michael's room when she began to feel sick. She says the last thing she remembers is fighting him off. She says when she woke up he was about to check out, leaving her behind. She took an Uber home and called 911 at 7:30 AM."

"She told cops she feared she was drugged and raped. She was advised to go to a medical lab for a swab and a blood test, which she did."

"She says she also texted Michael, asking him if they had sex. She says he responded that he wouldn't do anything to hurt her."

Irvin and his lawyer have both vehemently denied these allegations and although he has not been charged or arrested, he has still been barred from speaking at the Best of River Valley Preps All-Stars Awards on June 1st, according to TMZ.

Irvin was scheduled to be a keynote speaker at the event which honors the top high school athletes in Arkansas and Oklahoma but the organization has scratched him from their lineup due to a "conflict and distraction."

Jason Taylor, the president of the organization, told TMZ that they don't presume guilt but added, "We don't want to take away from this special night of recognition."

Irvin and his team were reportedly understanding of the decision.
