After Wiz Khalifa shared photos of his visit to Pablo Escobar's grave, the Mayor of Medellin publicly criticized his homage. The BBC News reports Mayor Federico Gutierrez said the rapper should apologize for "advocating crime."
"It shows that this guy has never had to suffer from the violence inflicted by these drug traffickers," Gutierrez said adding that Wiz should bring flowers to Escobar's victims instead.
In photos he shared on IG, Wiz stands next to the late drug lord's grave, puts flowers and a marijuana joint on the tombstone and even stands in front of Escobar's former residence. The rapper was in town for a show.
The BBC reports the drug kingpin and his Medellin cartel are held responsible for about 4,000 murders, including the bombing of an airliner in which all 107 people on board died. His group was accused of being involved in up to 80 per cent of all the cocaine shipped to the US.
