With two rock-solid 2016 releases, YRN 2 and 3 Way, already under their Versace belts, the Migos have revealed their plans to share a full album, which will be the follow-up to their debut album, last summer's Yung Rich Nation. And it's coming this month. Keep in mind that Streets on Lock 5, a collaborative project with Rich the Kid, is also set to drop this month, due out on Sept. 16. No Label 3 was also supposed to be on the near horizon. Regardless, it's gonna be a huge fall season for the trio of Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff. Their new album will be called C U L T U R E.
For some context on the album title, let's take it back to last month's mini-feud between Quavo and DJ Drama. Quavo called out the famed Gangsta Grillz DJ for not mentioning Migos when discussing the pillars of ATL rap culture on The Breakfast Club, instead listing guys like Gucci Mane, Future, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug. He referred to Drama's omission as "disrespectful," and went on to exclaim, "WE HELP THE MOVEMENT AND CULTURE OF MUSIC AND THE WAY IT SOUND TODAY." True story. Rap would not sound the way it does today were it not for Migos. Then add in all of the lingo, the incredible nationwide takeover of the dab, and some of the fashions they've purveyed since coming up -- it's safe to say that the group has had a considerable effect on the rap "culture," whatever your definition of the word might be. The Migos have included themselves in their definition.

It's an ambitious title, and one that should make for -- especially considering their recent output -- a great album. At the end of last month, Migos put out a new Metro Boomin-produced single, "Bad & Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert. Shortly before that, Young Thug came through on the remix of their May single "Cocoon."
